Lana holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and brings with her a lot of life experience and a solid approach into counselling with her involvement through family counselling, children’s ministry, and discipleship programs.

Lana and her family immigrated from Brazil to Canada 4 years ago, and have enjoyed getting to know the Canadian culture and serving the local community in different ways. She speaks fluent English and Portuguese. Lana has volunteered with immigrant programs, helping to build a bridge between local leaders and immigrants in order to promote emotional well-being for the local community.

Lana’s approach to counselling is centered on the client, as she values supporting each person in what they are going through, and offering different perspectives as the client explores their thoughts and feelings in whatever challenges they might be facing. Lana believes that offering a safe, non-judgmental and empathic relationship helps the client to connect with themselves. She believes that connection to ourselves and to others is key to a healthy and balanced life.

Lana provides individual and family therapy to youth and adults focusing on areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, family and parenting, spirituality, self-esteem and life transitions.
