Harv Janzen

Harv, originally from Winnipeg, spent his formative years in the beautiful Abbotsford region of British Columbia. After completing his Bible School education, he moved back to Manitoba. Feeling called to ministry, he pursued a Masters of Divinity degree from Briercrest Seminary. For approximately 15 years, Harv served as a dedicated Pastor, guiding and supporting several congregations through various life challenges.

Driven by a desire to deepen his knowledge and skills in helping individuals and families, Harv returned to Briercrest to obtain his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since then, he has been wholeheartedly engaged in the field of clinical counselling.

Over the years, Harv has had the privilege of working with numerous individuals, couples, and families, offering his expertise through both pastoral and clinical counselling. With over twenty years of marriage and a teenage son, Harv understands the importance of family dynamics in shaping our lives. This personal experience, coupled with his professional training, allows him to connect with clients on a deep level and provide them with compassionate support.

Harv firmly believes in the power of hope and healing, even in the face of daunting challenges. Through his membership with Prepare/Enrich Canada, Harv is equipped to assist couples in assessing and addressing relationship issues, fostering growth and resilience.

In addition to his role at Pembina Counselling Centre (PCC), Harv is actively involved in Focus on the Family’s esteemed Hope Restored program. This dual commitment allows him to extend his expertise and care to a wider audience, further enhancing his ability to guide individuals and couples towards healthier, more fulfilling lives.
